What appears to be a gargantuan carry across the canyon from the road side tees is in fact only 190m to the fairway, so men playing the yellow tees may be tempted to try it for the thrill. Otherwise they may opt for sanity and the alternative yellow markers on the other side where the hole plays as a short par 5. Short, yes, but uphill among scattered carobs and olives, which define the landscape of Aphrodite. The ideal second shot is over the cross bunker which leaves an open pitch into the green. The putting surface, the smallest on the course, is elevated and sharply sloped toward the front.
